Nate took Jefferson and Leo snowboarding for the first time in December. Mason brought "big dog" with him one day to grandma's house. When I picked him up later, I told him to go get buckled in the car, while I gathered the rest of his stuff. Jefferson finally lost his first tooth on December 13th, 2009- at 7 1/2 years old! We now are the proud host parents of a foreign exchange student from Brazil! He came to us on September 15th, around 2pm, at a tall 6'2"-ish, and 16 years old. Overall, I can't complain about how the boys' pictures turned out. Jackson loves pointing to the different parts of his body. If you say anything about noses, or ears, etc, he immediately launches into pointing to the different parts of his body, but his favorite is his "belly butt." We went over to the park by Grandma and Grandpa's house so that we could spend some time with them before they leave for a whole month to visit family and friends in Virginia. Jackson is learning his ABC's and loves singing the song. He still skips over several letters, but he's learning more everyday and he is recognizing more and more letters. He already knows all of the vowels and several consonants. I am impressed. I really think he'll be reading before he starts kindergarten. Mason may only be 18 months old, but he already has an understanding of cleaning up. He, of course, makes plenty of messes (he's still in the stage of throwing food off his plate, dumping bowls of food, etc) but he also is good at "helping" clean up. On the 17th, Jefferson's kindergarten class had a Christmas program. Grandma, Jackson, Mason, and I went to watch. I was able to help out with Jefferson's class Halloween Party. We sent up four stations for the kids and rotated them around the room. Mason is really getting good at climbing. He loves getting up as high as he can.
